What actually gets saved when you migrate my HomeGauge archive?
All six of your real data types: every inspection report PDF, your full invoice and billing history, every pre-inspection agreement plus who signed it and when, the client reviews you collected, your complete client list, and your real estate agent contacts. It lands inside your own InspectorData account, searchable and cloud-backed, in standard PDF you own.
Isn't HomeGauge's Export button enough to rescue my reports?
No. HomeGauge's export hands you a spreadsheet of report names — a CSV list, not the documents themselves. It does not deliver your inspection PDFs, invoices, signed agreements, or photos. To collect those you would download each one by hand, which is thousands of clicks across years of work. We pull the entire archive for you instead.
Now that Spectora owns HomeGauge, is my report archive at risk?

It is a one-time, done-for-you fee scaled to the size of your archive — starting at $497 for up to 250 reports and reaching $4,997 and up for large multi-thousand-report libraries. You receive a fixed quote before any work starts, plus an optional annual cloud-backup plan from $297 a year.
Do I have to do the technical work myself?
No. This is fully done-for-you. After you approve a quote, our team retrieves, organizes, and verifies every file. You don't export anything, format anything, or upload anything — you receive a rebuilt, searchable archive when it's finished and verified.
How long does the migration take?
Most archives finish within a few business days of receiving access, scaling with size. We have migrated a 4,906-report archive intact, and each migration is verified file by file before it is marked complete, so nothing is dropped along the way.
Will my files be locked into a proprietary format again?
No. Your reports come across as standard PDFs you own outright, with invoices, agreements, reviews, clients and agents in open, portable formats. The whole point of this service is to end vendor lock-in, not move it to a new vendor.
